O lendário homem tigre anda a fazer das suas. Um dos melhores (senão o melhor) músico português da actualidade juntou umas amigas e fez um album bem quente para combater o frio que aí vem.

António Sérgio faleceu ontem à noite. Ainda estou em choque. Foi só umas das pessoas que me fez e ensinou a gostar de música.

Black Lips em Portugal

O regresso da banda a Portugal está marcado para dia 11 de Novembro na Caixa Económica Operária. Depois do ultimo concerto no Lux (salvo erro) eles vêm para partir isto tudo.

Josh Homme foi o produtor do novo album dos Arctic Monkeys. E nota-se. Muito. O disco saiu oficialmente hoje mas já o estamos a ouvir a algum tempo.
Um dos discos que vale a pena ouvir em 2009.

Sim, estamos em férias e o catano.
O blog ainda não fechou...
Novidades dos concertos de verão e do que se tem estado a ouvir estão para breve.
Até lá vão-se preparando para o concerto que vai fechar com chave de ouro o verão.
São os Cats On Fire e vão tocar para nós no Maxime em Lisboa e no Mercedes no Porto nos próximos dias 10 e 9 de Setembro, respectivamente.
Pela primeira vez em Portugal os finlandeses trazem musica alegre a fazer lembrar os gloriosos 80s em especial os Housemartins.

The Last Goodbye

Não... não é mais um post sobre o falecido membro dos Jackson 5, nem tão pouco sobre o mítico Buckley que padeceu jovem na corrente de um dos afluentes do Mississipi. Falo dos NIN e dos seus ultimos concertos de sempre (será!?). Por estas e por outras é que vai valer a pena rumar a norte exclusivamente para os ver.

7.7.09: NEW FINAL NIN DATES!

Getting right to the point, we're going to play a handful of shows in NYC, Chicago and LA starting August 22nd. They will be informal affairs in medium to small venues with longer set-lists, possible special guests, cool openers and other surprises. Upon reflection, the NIN/JA tour felt like we had to rush through sets due to a limited allotted set length and many shows were in daylight - it just didn't feel right to end NIN that way. An offer to headline a festival (being announced soon) set the idea in motion to play some FUN shows to end this up with. If we can get it together we'll film these shows, too.

In NYC we'll be playing Bowery Ballroom, Webster Hall and Terminal 5. In Chicago, the Aragon Ballroom. In LA we'll be at The Wiltern, The Henry Fonda, The Palladium and The Echoplex. These should be cool, unusual and unique shows and I hope you come out - this is it.

So far, The Horrors will be joining us for some shows in NYC, Mew will be with us at other shows in NYC, Chicago and LA, and perhaps more.
